Forrester Consulting Total Economic Impact (TEI) study assesses the partner opportunity for Red Hat OpenShift
Red Hat OpenShift is a unified platform to build, modernize, and deploy applications at scale, including a complete set of services for bringing apps to market on an organization’s choice of infrastructure.
A broad range of technology firms from global system integrators and managed service providers to small independent software vendors (ISVs) partner with Red Hat to build, modernize, and deploy applications at scale for customers on their choice of infrastructure.
A Forrester Consulting Total Economic Impactâ„ (TEI) study commissioned by Red Hat, Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ Partner Opportunity For Red Hat OpenShift, found that OpenShift created a potential revenue opportunity for partners up to 5.2 times the subscription revenues through build, deployment, migration, and implementation services, as well as managed services. Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨se opportunities helped increase the strategic value that Red Hat partners provided to their customers.
As part of the study, Forrester interviewed 9 decision-makers, from 7 existing Red Hat partners, about the business and financial value they achieved with Red Hat OpenShift.
Key findings showed that:
- Red Hat OpenShift was an area of rapid and strategic growth fueled by Kubernetes and containerization.
- Red Hat partners had the opportunity to tap into multiple potential revenue streams as they built, deployed, and managed customers applications.
- Partners enabled long-term engagements with customers and helped partners gain a strategic advisor role as they continued to work on multiple projects with the same client.
As a director from the APAC region remarked, â€When we were only doing the implementation work, that was it. Å·²©ÌåÓýƽ̨ stickiness was very loose because we weren’t seen as part of their larger business transformation. [Red Hat] OpenShift actually helped us to be a central part of our customersâ€ drive to those digital transformations.â€
A Sales Lead from Europe remarked as well, Deploying OpenShift can be lucrative, especially when we start from scratch with architecture, do a proof of concept, evaluate the PoC, then build up the production environment. From a business standpoint, it’s more revenue than the subscription.
